Ravindra Traders

Our shop is on Street No -2 in Civil Lines. It's quite easy to find if you know where Sri Jairam Dharamshala is. We’ve been operating out of Chandan Nagar for a long time. People around here know us as Ravindra Traders, but to most neighbors, we’re just the guys who move boxes and talk too loudly about the weather. The street gets a bit narrow when trucks come through to drop off supplies. We spend a lot of time checking inventory and making sure things are where they should be. It’s dusty work sometimes. We started small and just kept going because that’s what you do. There’s a tea shop nearby where we spend our breaks. The building we are in is nothing special to look at, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out. We don’t really do big meetings or anything like that. We just talk over the counter or while we are loading stuff. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. It gives us a chance to talk to the people walking by toward the Dharamshala. We keep our records in big ledgers mostly. It’s how we learned to do it. We are usually here from early morning until the shops around us start pulling down their shutters. It’s a decent life and we know our way around this part of town pretty well.
