Ramesh Garments

Ramesh Garments is over on Street No. 3 in Nirankari Colony, which is in the Sunder Nagar area. We are located right at the backside of King Palace, which is a big landmark around here. People often get lost looking for us, so we just tell them to find the palace and then head to the back. We sell all kinds of garments for the local people. The shop is on a quiet street compared to the main road, which is nice because we can actually talk to the people who come in without shouting. We have been in Sunder Nagar for a good while and we know most of the families who live on Street No. 3. The shop itself is simple, with just some racks and a couple of mirrors for people to try things on. We don't have any fancy displays or window models. During the wedding season, things get a bit more frantic and we have clothes piled up everywhere, but usually, it’s a steady pace. My wife helps out with the sales and my son does the accounts when he’s not at school. We aren't looking to become a giant chain of stores. We just like having our own place where we can work and earn a living. We have a small bench outside where older folks sometimes sit to rest for a minute before they move on to the next shop. It’s a friendly enough place and we don't plan on moving anywhere else. It’s a honest day’s work for us.
