Bhanu'S Design Studio

Bhanu'S Design Studio is at 125, Tagore Nagar. It’s a small studio, nothing too grand. We’ve got our work tables and some racks for the clothes we’re working on. Most days you’ll find us sketching or cutting fabric. It’s a bit of a creative mess in here usually, with thread and scraps on the floor. We don't have a big storefront with mannequins in the window. It’s more of a place where the actual designing and sewing happens. People usually come to us when they have something specific in mind. We talk about the fabric and the fit, and then we get to work. It’s not a fast process, but we don't like to rush things. Tagore Nagar is a nice enough place to be based. We’ve been in this building for a few years. Sometimes the light in the afternoon is really good for picking out colors. We don't do much advertising. People mostly find out about us from their friends or family. We’re just a small group of people who enjoy making clothes. It can be a bit hectic before a big wedding season, but we manage to get through it. We don't really have any corporate goals or big plans. We just want to keep the studio going and keep making things that look right. That’s what we do here at Bhanu’s. We keep the sewing machines running and try to stay on top of the pile of fabric that always seems to grow.
