Rai Machine Tools

Rai Machine Tools has been at 1537 Dholewal Bhagwan Nagar for quite a while now. It’s a solid building, though the paint is peeling a bit near the bottom from the rain. We mostly deal with machine parts and tools for the local workshops nearby. Dholewal is a busy area, and Bhagwan Nagar has its own rhythm that you get used to. We open the shutters at eight every morning. The first thing I do is start the old fan and check if any new shipments arrived overnight. Our shelves are made of heavy wood and they groan under the weight of the steel tools we keep in stock. We don’t use any fancy software to track things. If someone needs a part, I usually know exactly which box it’s in without thinking twice. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play cricket in the lane outside, and we have to tell them to watch out for the customers' scooters parked near the entrance. We don’t have a fancy showroom with glass cases. Everything is out in the open where you can touch it and see if it’s what you need for your machine. My hands are usually stained with grease by ten in the morning, and that’s how it stays until I wash up at night to go home. We have a small bench where people can sit if they have to wait for a part to be fetched. It’s a simple operation at 1537.
