Sonu Auto Mobile

Our shop, Sonu Auto Mobile, is right on Dugri Road. It’s easy to spot because we are directly opposite the State Bank of India. People often use the bank as a landmark when they are trying to find us for the first time on Dugri Road. The road is always loud with cars and bikes zooming past, which I guess is good for an auto business. We’ve got a lot of spare parts stacked up inside, maybe more than we actually need, but you never know what someone might ask for. The shelves are a bit dusty and the lighting could be better, but it’s a working garage after all. We spend a lot of time out front by the road, talking to people about their vehicles. Sometimes it’s just a quick fix and other times the car has to stay with us for a bit. We don’t have a fancy waiting room, so people usually just hang out or go to the State Bank of India while they wait. The floor is covered in oil spots that never really go away no matter how much we scrub. It’s a messy job but someone has to do it. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, making it quite warm inside. We just turn on the old ceiling fans and keep going. It’s a simple life running a shop on Dugri Road and we like it just fine.
