R N Tagore Sen Sec School is located on Street No-3 in Subhash Nagar, Ludhiana. Being in a city like Ludhiana, it’s always a bit noisy outside with the traffic and the local shops. Our school is a bit of a hideaway from all that. It’s a multi-story building tucked into the street. We’ve got students coming in for their senior secondary years. The corridors are narrow and there’s always someone hurrying to class. We have a small staff room where we drink tea and talk about the day’s problems. It’s a very local feel here. Most of our students live within walking distance or just a short ride away. We don't have a big fancy campus with sprawling lawns, but we make use of every corner we have. The classrooms are filled with the sound of students and the scratch of chalk. We focus on getting the work done. Ludhiana is a busy place, and we try to prepare the kids for that reality. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just carry on as best as we can. We don't use much fancy technology, just the old-fashioned way of teaching from the textbook. It’s a practical school for families who want their kids to finish their schooling nearby. We’ve been here for years and we know the neighborhood inside out. We deal with the registrations, the exam forms, and the daily attendance without making a big deal of it.
