Pasumai Traders

Pasumai Traders is located at 3 Jaldhar Bye Pass, right on the Bahuchraji Road in the Karelibaug area of Vadodara. It’s a pretty busy location because of the bypass, so there’s always a lot of movement and noise from the traffic passing by. We are traders, so our day-to-day involves a lot of checking stock and dealing with deliveries coming in from different places. The shop is more of a functional space than anything else. We have shelves lined with whatever we are currently trading, and the back is usually filled with boxes waiting to be moved out. Vadodara gets really hot, so we usually have the big shutters open to catch any breeze, though it usually just brings in the dust from the road. We aren't big on ceremony here. If someone comes in, we just talk to them plainly about what we have and what it costs. It’s a straightforward way of doing things. We’ve been in Karelibaug for a bit, and we know the other shopkeepers around the bypass. We usually share a tea in the mornings before the rush starts. The work isn't glamorous, and we don't try to make it seem like it is. It’s just about moving goods and making sure the counts are right at the end of the day. The sun sets behind the bypass and we finally close up the gates, tired but ready to come back tomorrow morning.
