It’s not a modern glass building; it’s a place that shows its age and the hard work that goes on inside. Being a cooperative, things run a bit differently here. It’s more about the people and the collective effort than some big corporate strategy. The smell of the mill and the sound of the machinery are just part of the atmosphere on Amar Street. We have a lot of folks coming and going, mostly people who have been around for years. It’s a community feel, really. We don’t have a PR department to write nice things about us. We just focus on the sugar and the mill operations. Janta Nagar is a busy, hardworking area, and we fit right in with the grit and the noise.
