Passi Trading Co

Being on G.T Road means there is always traffic outside. We are right in the middle of it. Passi Trading Co has been around since the road was much narrower. We trade in different goods, mostly whatever is in demand or what we can get a good price on. It’s a trading business, so it’s all about the stock. Some weeks we have too much, other weeks the warehouse looks empty. My uncle used to run things, now it’s my turn. I spend a lot of time on the phone. It’s not a glamorous job. The walls need a new coat of paint, but we never get around to it. We just keep the ledgers and watch the trucks go by. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into everything. We have to wipe down the desks every morning. It’s just how it is when you’re on the main highway. People drop in without calling. We talk, we drink tea, we do business. It’s the old way of doing things. No computers for everything, just some paper and a pen. It works for us. We don't need to change much. The location is good because everyone passes by eventually. We’ve seen the whole area grow up around us. It's a busy life. We keep the doors open mostly. The noise is just part of the day. You get used to it after twenty years of sitting in the same chair. We just keep the trade going and don't worry about much else.
