Miller Ganj is a place where you can always hear the sound of metal. Our workshop in Nanakpuri stays pretty busy from Monday to Saturday. We spend most of the time covered in a bit of grease and oil because that is just the nature of auto parts. The machines have their own moods, and some days they run better than others. It is a lot of manual work and checking measurements over and over. We have been in this area long enough to know all the shortcuts through the narrow lanes when the main road gets blocked up. The air smells like iron and coolant. We keep our tools organized, or at least we try to, but by midday, everything is scattered across the benches. It is not a showroom; it is a place where things are actually made and fixed. We sit on old wooden chairs during the lunch break and talk about nothing in particular. Nanakpuri has a lot of small units like ours, so there is always someone nearby if we need to borrow a specific wrench or just see what is happening. The power goes out sometimes, and everything goes quiet for a minute until the generator kicks in. It is just steady work. We are not trying to be anything other than a local shop that knows its way around an engine and some steel. It gets hot in the summer, but we just keep the fans going.
