Om Ashoka Agro Organic

You can find Om Ashoka Agro Organic over in New Janta Nagar, right across from Arora Palace. It’s a busy area and we like being right in the middle of it. We started this because we noticed people were asking more about organic stuff and where their food comes from. It’s not a huge warehouse, just 3210, but we fit what we need inside. Sometimes it smells like earth and dried herbs in here, which I don't mind at all. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about their gardens and what kind of soil works for what. It’s a lot of trial and error, honestly. No two patches of land are the same around here. We try to keep things simple and not use too many chemicals, because that's the whole point. The shelves aren't always perfectly lined up, and sometimes we run out of something popular, but we do our best to get more in quickly. It’s just a few of us working here, trying to help people grow things better. We see a lot of the same faces every week, which is nice. It makes the day go faster when you can chat with someone while you’re weighing out seeds or checking the stock. It’s a messy job sometimes, getting dirt under your fingernails, but it feels right to be doing something useful for the community and the land.
