Our place is out at No. 13 Km Mile Stone along the Chandigarh Road. It is a bit of a trek from the main city, but we like the space we have out here. Most days start with the sound of trucks passing by on the highway. Jindal Agro is basically just a big shed and some yard space where we handle all the agricultural stuff. The dust gets everywhere, especially when it hasn't rained for a few weeks. We spend a lot of time checking the moisture in the grains and making sure the storage is holding up. It’s a lot of manual work, moving bags around and keeping track of what’s coming in from the farms. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait or use the generator. It isn't a glamorous job by any means. We eat our lunch together in a small corner of the office. There are always stacks of paperwork on the table, mostly receipts and transport notes. People stop by because they saw the sign from the road. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a few of us trying to keep things moving. By the time evening rolls around, we’re usually pretty tired and covered in grit. We just lock the main gate and head home, ready to do the same thing tomorrow.
