Avindra Agro

You can find Avindra Agro at 4 Parbhat Nagar in the Sanjay Gandhi Colony, right by the Gurudwara Market. Being so close to the Gurudwara means there is always a sense of community around us. The market gets very busy in the mornings, with people buying their daily needs and talking loudly. Our place is fairly small and we keep it filled with agricultural products. It is the kind of shop where you might have to move a box out of the way just to stand at the counter. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because that doesn't help the plants grow. My brother and a couple of guys from the neighborhood help me run things. We mostly talk about the prices of fertilizers and which seeds are doing best this season. It’s a quiet kind of life, even with the market noise outside. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for deliveries to arrive. Sometimes the truck is late and we just sit on the steps and watch the people go by. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the local farmers have what they need to do their jobs. It’s honest work and it feels good to be a part of this little corner of the world.
