New Jammu Timber & Iron Store

New Jammu Timber & Iron Store is located on Samrala Road. We are tucked into the Union Bank lane, right across from the PNB. It’s a very easy place to spot once you get into the lane because of all the wood stacked up outside. We deal in both timber and iron, so our yard is a mix of the smell of fresh-cut pine and the cold, heavy feel of metal rods. Depending on the season, the yard can get quite muddy or very dusty. We spend a lot of time helping people pick out the right pieces of wood for their construction or furniture projects. The iron side of the business is a bit more physical, involving a lot of heavy lifting and cutting to size. We have a couple of saws that make a lot of noise, but they get the job done quickly. Our shop has a small roofed area where we keep the more delicate items dry. It’s mostly just us and a few helpers who have been here for years. We know the local contractors and the homeowners who are just doing a small repair. We don't do anything fancy with the display; the materials are just there for people to see. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. We usually keep the gate open until the evening when the last delivery is done.
