National Spinners

National Spinners is located at 372/2 on Samrala Road, right where the traffic starts to pick up. We’ve been working with yarn and spinning for a long time now. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place where we can keep the machines dry and running. Inside, it’s always busy with the sound of spindles and the smell of raw fibers. We spend our days watching the threads and making sure nothing gets tangled up or breaks mid-way through. It’s a repetitive kind of work, but there’s a certain rhythm to it that you start to enjoy after a while. Most of the people working here live nearby, so it feels more like a community than a big company. We don’t do much in the way of fancy marketing or big sales pitches. People know we’re here on Samrala Road and they come to us when they need supplies for their own projects. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the day with a wrench in hand, but that’s just part of the routine. We keep a pot of tea going in the back for when we need a break. It’s a simple business, really. We just focus on producing the best we can with what we have and keeping the wheels turning day after day.
