Our place is right on G.T. Road, at 29/535. We are directly across from the Dhandari Kalan Railway Station, so we hear the trains going by all day long. It’s a noisy spot, but it makes it very easy for people to find Mankoo (India) Pvt.Ltd. The G.T. Road is always packed with trucks and buses, so there’s a lot of dust and commotion outside our front gate. Inside, we have a pretty large space where we do most of our work. It’s an old building, and it shows its age in some places, but it’s sturdy and serves us well. We have a group of workers who have been with us for a long time. They know the routine and they don't need much direction. We spend our days managing the workload and making sure the equipment is kept in good shape. It’s a very practical environment. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls or fancy carpets. The floor is concrete and the desks are old wood. We usually have the doors open to let some air in, even if it brings in the noise from the station. Lunchtime is usually when things quiet down for a bit before the afternoon rush starts. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office or big promises. We just want to do our jobs and keep the business running smoothly from this spot on G.T. Road every single day.
