Major Machine Tools

Major Machine Tools is out here in Ludhiana, specifically in the Focal Point area of Sherpur Khurd. If you have ever been to this part of Punjab, you know it is all about industry and hard work. Our shop at number 94 is right in the middle of it all. We started out small and stayed that way mostly because we like knowing every customer who walks through the door. The air around here usually smells like machine oil and hot metal. We spend a lot of time working on different tools and fixing up equipment for the local textile mills and other factories. It’s not a quiet job and our clothes are almost always stained with grease by lunch time. We usually have tea together in the morning before the heavy work starts. There is no corporate ladder here, just a few of us who know how to handle a lathe or a drill. We don't spend money on big ads or shiny brochures. If a tool needs fixing or someone needs a specific machine part, they just drop by. The roads in Sherpur Khurd can be a bit rough after the rain, but we are always open. We’ve seen the industry change a lot over the years, but the basic need for good, solid tools stays the same. We just try to keep our heads down and do our bit for the local trade and keep the wheels of industry turning.
