Mahavir Steels

Mahavir Steels is located over in Gill Miller Ganj. This part of the city is known for being the heart of the metal trade. It’s a very industrial and gritty area. You can hear the sounds of iron being moved and hammers hitting metal from early in the morning until late at night. Our shop is right in the middle of it all. It’s not a place where you’d want to wear a clean white shirt because everything is covered in a thin layer of iron dust. We deal with various steel products, and our space is mostly just a warehouse with a small desk in the corner for the books. We don't have air conditioning, just a big industrial fan that moves the hot air around. The floors are uneven and dark from years of heavy loads. We have a few guys who help with the loading, and they’ve been with us forever. We mostly talk to people who come in looking for specific sizes of rods or sheets. There’s no fancy marketing here. We just know our stock and we know the prices. The tea stall across the lane is where we get our morning chai. It’s a tough, busy environment, but that’s just how it is in Miller Ganj. We keep the ledger updated by hand mostly. It’s honest work and we stay busy from start to finish every single day.
