Lucky Karyana Store

In Ludhiana, specifically around Dashmesh Nagar and the Dhuri Line area, things move at their own speed. Our shop, Lucky Karyana Store, is tucked in here at number 1895. It’s a regular grocery shop, nothing too big or complicated. We stock the usual stuff like dal, rice, oils, and the snacks kids like. Most of our work is just weighing things out and packing them for the neighbors. We’ve been here long enough that we know which family prefers which brand of tea. It’s a lot of lifting heavy bags and making sure the jars are full. The space is a bit tight when we get a big delivery, but we manage to fit it all in. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in or call us to keep something aside. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by the light from the door, but life goes on. It’s a steady kind of living. We open up early and stay until the last few people finish their evening errands. The Dhuri Line area can get quite noisy with the trains and traffic, but inside the store, it's just about the groceries. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide the food and supplies that people in this part of Ludhiana need for their kitchens every day. Sometimes we have to stack the sacks outside for a few minutes while we make space, but neighbors don't mind much.
