Baco Smith India

Baco Smith India is located at 1066/12 Miller Ganj, right inside the Sneh Sagar Society area. Miller Ganj is a really packed part of the city, and finding our building for the first time can be a bit tricky if you aren't looking closely at the door numbers. We do a lot of industrial work here, mostly stuff involving metal and components that go into bigger machines. The noise from the surrounding workshops is constant from eight in the morning until late in the evening. It’s an old neighborhood, so the buildings are close together and the electricity sometimes acts up when everyone is running their heavy equipment at the same time. Inside our space, it’s mostly just rows of parts and a few workbenches where we put things together by hand. We don't have a big team, just a few people who have been doing this for a long time. They know where every single bolt and screw is kept, even if it looks like a mess to someone walking in from the street. Sneh Sagar is more of a landmark for us than a quiet residential spot these days. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and trying to figure out the best way to move heavy crates through the narrow streets outside. It’s hard work and the grease never really comes off your hands, but it’s what we do every day without complaining much.
