If you go down to Textile Colony in Ludhiana, you will find us over at K-I. We are right near the Zoom Hotel, which is a good landmark if you are getting lost among all the factories. This part of town is all about fabric and thread, and our place is no different. Inside, you can always hear the machines humming away. It is a bit of a loud environment, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We make hosiery items, so there are always piles of yarn and finished sweaters or socks sitting in boxes. It smells like wool and machine oil in here most of the time. We are not some corporate giant with a shiny lobby and a receptionist. We just have a small entrance and a lot of busy people moving things around. The tea lady comes by twice a day and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon when we can finally stop the machines for ten minutes and just breathe. Ludhiana gets very cold in the winter, which is when things get really hectic for us as we try to get all the orders out. Sometimes a machine breaks down and everyone has to stop what they are doing to fix it. We have been in this colony for a long while now, and we are just a part of the local industrial scene. It is not glamorous, but it is our life.
