Komal Plastic Machinery Works

Komal Plastic Machinery Works is situated at 3145 on Link Road. This is a place where we deal with heavy equipment and plastic molding machines. It’s a very practical environment. The floors are concrete and there is usually some oil or grease around because that’s just the nature of working with big machines. We have been at this Link Road location for quite a while now. Most of our day is spent fixing parts or putting together components for local factories. It is noisy because of the welding and the grinding sounds. We don't have a reception area; if you want to talk to us, you just walk into the workshop and find someone. My uncle began this business years ago with just a couple of lathes. Now we have a few more pieces of equipment, but it’s still a small operation. We wear work clothes that stay dirty no matter how much we wash them. It gets very hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months. We drink a lot of water and keep the fans going. Customers bring us broken parts and ask if we can make them work again. We do our best with what we have. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we know how to do. The neighborhood is full of similar shops, so there is always a lot of activity on the street. We just stay busy with the repairs and the steel.
