You’ll find Kalsi Machine Tools down at 8035, Street Number 4 in Ranjit Nagar. It’s one of those busy streets where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We’ve been here for a good while, and the workshop is always full of iron and steel. The sound of metal hitting metal is pretty much the soundtrack to our days. We make and fix tools that other people use for their own businesses. It’s heavy work, and by the end of the day, everyone is usually a bit tired and dirty. We don't have any fancy carpets or air-conditioned offices. It’s just a plain workshop with some sturdy workbenches and the old machines we use to get the jobs done. People from around the area stop by when they need something specific made or if a tool has broken down. We try to help out as best as we can. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a truck delivering materials, and we have to help move things around. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes, but we make it work.
