K. S. Steel

We are over here at K. S. Steel right on G.T. Road in Alour, which is a place that stays pretty busy all day long. It gets quite loud with all the heavy trucks passing by on the main road but you eventually get used to the noise after working here for a while. Most of the people on our team have been around for a long time and we just get on with the daily work of handling the steel. It is a simple place really. The yard gets very dusty when the wind picks up and we spend a lot of our time just moving heavy materials from one side of the lot to the other. There is a small office where we keep the paperwork but most of the time we are outside by the gate. People often stop by just to ask for directions because of where we are situated on G.T. Road. The sun hits the metal in the afternoon and it gets quite warm out there in the yard. We don't have anything fancy here just the tools we need and the space to do the job. Some of the guys have lived in Alour their whole lives so they know almost everyone who passes through. We usually drink tea twice a day and talk about the weather or how bad the traffic is getting. It is not a complicated business. We just try to keep things organized so we can find what we need.
