K. C. Shawls

Our shop, K. C. Shawls, is located at B- 10-777 in Gali Pco Wali, right in the middle of Mochpura Bazar. If you know the bazaar, you know it’s a tight, busy place with a lot of energy. Our lane, Gali Pco Wali, can be a bit narrow, so it’s always crowded with people and sometimes a stray scooter or two. Inside our space, it’s mostly shelves stacked high with shawls of all kinds. We spend a lot of time sorting through them and showing them to people who wander in from the market. It’s not a quiet place, as the sounds of the bazaar are always coming through the door. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shopkeepers around us. We don't bother with a lot of fancy decorations. We just have some good lighting and plenty of space to unfold the shawls so people can see them. It gets cold in the winter, which is when we’re usually the busiest. We’ve had some of the same customers for years, people who know exactly where to find us in the maze of the bazaar. It’s a family-run sort of feel here, even if we aren't all related. We just work together to keep the business going. There’s no big mystery to it, just staying open and talking to people. We enjoy the rush of the market and the variety of people we meet every single day.
