J.V. Exports

Out here in Village Jandiali, things are a bit quieter than in the main city. Our place is on Chandigarh Road, at HB-225. It’s easy to find if you’re driving that way. We spend most of our time packing things up and checking the lists. Exporting takes a lot of paperwork and we’re always sorting through piles of it on the main table. The building is basic, nothing special to look at, but it keeps the rain off the goods. We have a few trucks coming in and out during the week. Some days are slow and we just sit and have tea, and other days everyone is rushing to get a container filled. The staff here has been with us for years. We don’t really do big meetings or anything like that. We just talk about what needs to be shipped next. The road outside can get quite dusty in the summer. We keep the doors open mostly to let the breeze in. It’s a straightforward business. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the back or near the loading area. We just handle the items, make sure the labels are right, and get them sent off to wherever they are going. It’s just regular work day in and day out, making sure the shipments go where they are supposed to.
