Jupiter Metal Industries

Jupiter Metal Industries is based at B-22 in the Focal Point Extn area. This part of town is mostly industrial, so we are surrounded by other factories and workshops. It’s never really quiet around here. There is always the sound of metal clanging or trucks idling outside. Inside B-22, we have our machinery set up. It’s a tough environment, especially in the summer when the heat from the machines and the sun makes the shed feel quite warm. We deal with various metal parts and scraps all day long. Our hands are usually dirty from grease or metal dust, but that’s part of the job. We don’t have a fancy office with carpets; it’s mostly concrete floors and heavy-duty shelving. We keep a close eye on the production, making sure the measurements are right on the pieces we are working on. Some days are longer than others, especially when a machine breaks down and we have to get it running again before the shift ends. It’s a straightforward place. We focus on the metalwork and getting the orders ready for transport. The guys here have been doing this for a while, so everyone knows their role. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless it’s for some basic invoicing. It’s a gritty, practical place where we work with our hands every single day. We are just a regular shop doing our best with the metal.
