Jb Cutlery Industries

Jb Cutlery Industries is on the first floor of Plot No-257. We are over in Tagore Park, which is pretty close to Model Town-2. It’s a decent area, though the stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep if you’re carrying heavy crates of metal. We have the machines running most of the day, so there is always a clanking sound of stainless steel hitting together. It can get pretty hot in the workshop, especially during the summer months. We don't have a big showroom. Most of the space is taken up by the grinding and polishing benches. We’ve got stacks of spoons and knives in various stages of being finished. There’s always metal dust on the windowsills no matter how much we clean. The staff has been here for years, and we just know the rhythm of the work. We usually eat our lunch together near the back window where there is a bit of a breeze. It’s not a corporate office with cubicles. It’s a factory floor where things actually get made. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the noise, but that’s just part of being in the cutlery business. We keep our heads down and finish the batches. It’s a straightforward life. We make things, we pack them, and we send them out. That’s about all there is to it. We don't need much else besides our tools and enough space to work.
