Jay Engineering Works Ltd is situated at number 390 in Industrial Area A, over in Sahyadri Layout, Panduranganagar. This is a proper industrial zone, so it’s always got that hum of machinery and the smell of metal in the air. Our facility is a large shed where most of the engineering work happens. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit; we’re usually in our work clothes, covered in a bit of grease by the end of the shift. We have a lot of heavy equipment and tools spread out across the floor. The office is just a partitioned space in the corner where we handle the blueprints and the billing. It gets quite loud during the day when the machines are running full tilt. We’ve been in Panduranganagar for a long time now and we know all the other workshop owners on this block. There’s no marketing team here, just engineers and technicians doing their jobs. We focus on the precision of the parts we make. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out, and we usually just order some food in. It’s a very straightforward, no-nonsense environment. We don't have any decorative plants or fancy coffee machines. We just have our tools and a lot of work to get through. It keeps us busy and the day goes by fast.
