H.S. Memorial High School

Our school is tucked away in Gali Number 8, right in the Jai Singh Nagar area of Ludhiana. It’s part of the Model Colony, which is a busy place with lots of families living close together. We have been operating H.S. Memorial High School for quite some time now. Being on Jagir Pur Road means there is always some noise from the traffic, but inside the gate, it is all about the students. We teach kids from the primary levels all the way up to high school. The building isn't huge, so things can feel a bit crowded during the morning assembly or when the classes are full. We don't have a big grassy field, so the children usually play in the courtyard or the lanes nearby. The teachers here are local people who have been with us for a long time; they know the kids and their parents very well. We follow the Punjab state board syllabus and keep things very traditional with blackboards and notebooks. We don't have many computers or fancy gadgets, as we prefer to focus on the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic. Ludhiana summers are very hot, so we have big fans in every room to keep it bearable. We keep our fees low so that the families in this neighborhood can afford to send their children here. It is a simple, honest school where we just try to do our best for the kids every single day.
