Gurdev Iron Traders

Gurdev Iron Traders is right here on Gill Road, just across from where Radha Swami Road starts. People around here know the spot pretty well. It is 2474/2-A. The shop is full of iron rods and bits of metal everywhere you look. My father started this business a long time ago and we just keep it going every day. It’s not a fancy place at all. Most days it’s just dusty and loud with the trucks backing in and out to unload the heavy stock. We get here early when the sun is just coming up and usually don't leave until the very last customer is sorted out. It is hard work but it is what we do and we are used to the rhythm of the place. Sometimes the traffic on Gill Road gets really bad and it takes forever to get anything moved into the yard. We just deal with it and wait our turn. There isn't any secret to how we operate, we just have the stock and people come to buy it. We don't have a big office or anything polished like that. Just a small wooden desk with a lot of papers and the constant sound of the welder in the back part of the shop. If you are looking for us, look for the big iron stacks near the crossing. It’s been this way for years and we don't plan on changing much. Just trying to get the orders right and making sure the inventory is where it should be. It is just a regular life for us.
