Our office is on the third floor of the Surya Commercial Centre, right across from PAU Gate Number 1 on Ferozepur Road. It’s a busy spot in Ludhiana. The road outside is always packed with students from the university and people commuting. Being on the third floor means we have to climb a lot of stairs if the power goes out, which happens sometimes. The office isn't very big. We have some blueprints lying around and a couple of desks where we do our planning. We aren’t much for decorating, so the walls are pretty bare except for a calendar and a map of the city. We work on various buildings and construction projects. Ferozepur Road is a noisy place, but once you close the windows, it’s quiet enough to get some work done. We usually have a pot of tea going in the afternoon. We don’t have a big corporate structure. It’s just a few of us who know about construction trying to make a go of it. We chose this location because it’s central and everyone knows where the PAU gate is. It makes it easier for people to find us without needing a lot of directions. We’ve been in this building for a while and we know the other shop owners and office workers on the other floors. It’s a decent place to work and keep things moving.
