Gne Engineering Works

The shop is over on G.T.B. Hospital Road, right on Street No 1 in the Guru Nanak Street area of Gill Road. Most days it’s pretty loud here with the machines running and folks coming in and out asking about specific parts. We’ve been at this spot, 4222/1, for a good while now. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular engineering workshop where we spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and getting grease on our hands. The neighborhood is always busy, especially with the hospital nearby and all the traffic coming off Gill Road. We usually start early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. My desk is covered in old invoices and sketches for different jobs we’ve got going on. Sometimes the machines act up or a delivery is late, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. People around here know where to find us if they need something fixed or fabricated. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of the work happens out on the floor with the tools. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. If you walk down Guru Nanak Street, you’ll probably hear us before you see the sign. It’s a simple setup but it works for what we do every day and we plan to stay here for many more years while the area keeps growing around us.
