Glyder Engineering Works

If you ever walk down Nirankari Street 6 in Miller Ganj, you’ll find us at 879/5. Glyder Engineering Works has been tucked into this narrow street for quite some time. It’s a crowded neighborhood, and sometimes getting a delivery truck in here is a real headache, but we make it work. The shop is small but we’ve managed to fit all the essential engineering tools we need. There’s a lot of metal shavings on the floor by the end of the day, and the smell of cutting oil is everywhere. We do a lot of custom work, small pieces that require a steady hand and a bit of patience. It’s usually just me and a few helpers, and we spend most of the day talking about the jobs or what’s going on in the market. We don't have a big sign out front, just the address and the name painted on the door. It’s the kind of place where customers come in and sit for a bit while we finish up their order. We don’t use any high-tech software for our planning, just a pencil and some scrap paper usually does the trick for the designs we do. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but the results speak for themselves. We just like fixing things and making parts that fit exactly right. It’s a good way to spend the day.
