Gill Sandhu Machine Tools

Our shop is tucked away on Street Number 10, right in the middle of New Janta Nagar. It’s one of those busy streets where everyone is doing something with metal or tools. Daba Road is always crowded, so getting stuff in and out takes a bit of patience. We’ve been at 3980/1 for quite some time now. It’s not a large place, but we have enough room for the lathe machines and the grinders we use. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon. We don’t have a front desk or a receptionist. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll just find one of us with a wrench in hand. Gill Sandhu Machine Tools is just a name we put on the sign outside, but really it’s just me and a few local guys working. We do a lot of repairs and sometimes build custom parts when someone brings in a drawing on a scrap of paper. It gets loud with all the neighbors running their machines too, but you get used to the noise. We drink a lot of tea while we figure out how to fix a stubborn piece of equipment. Sometimes we stay late when a job is urgent, but mostly we try to keep regular hours. It’s just honest work in a busy part of town. No frills at all. My brother helps with the deliveries when the truck is working right. We just keep at it.
