General Metal Industries

We are located over at E 315 in Phase A of the Focal Point area. It’s right by Gudahatti Gate near Balagaranahalli Village, just off the Hosur Main Road. Being out here means we get a mix of that industrial vibe and the feel of the nearby village. General Metal Industries has been here for years, and the walls show it. We do a lot of metal work, so there is always the sound of cutting or welding going on in the background. It’s not the quietest place to spend a day, but we like it. The air usually smells a bit like iron and oil. We start our shifts early to beat some of the heat coming off the road. Most of the guys here have been with us for a long time, so we don’t have to say much to get things done. We just know the routine. The yard gets a bit crowded with scrap and raw materials sometimes, but we clear it out when it gets too much. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. We keep a stash of tools that have been around since we first opened. It’s a honest day’s work and we aren't trying to be anything we’re not. Just a metal shop doing what we've always done for the people who need things made or fixed.
