Gauri Knit Fabb

Gauri Knit Fabb is located at 1004 Gandhi Nagar, right in the Hindi Bazar area. We are in the 4th Block, directly opposite the Uco Bank, which makes it easy for people to find us in the middle of the crowded market. Hindi Bazar is a very busy place, with people constantly moving between the shops and the stalls. Our space is usually filled with rolls of fabric and various knitting supplies. It can get quite cramped when we have a lot of stock, but we’ve learned how to stack things high to make room. The light inside isn’t always the best, so we often have to take samples over to the door to see the colors clearly in the daylight. Being opposite the bank means there’s always a crowd outside, so it never feels quiet. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the knits and talking to the people who come in looking for specific materials. It’s a lot of manual labor, carrying heavy rolls and organizing the shelves. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just open up in the morning, do our work, and try to keep things organized. The market has its own energy, and we’ve been part of it for a while now, just doing our thing in Gandhi Nagar. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish an order, but that is just part of being in the fabric business.
