Garg Confectionary

Garg Confectionary is right on Gill Road, and if you know that area, you know how busy and noisy it stays. We have been here long enough that we don't even notice the trucks rumbling past anymore. The shop is filled with the usual stuff like biscuits, chips, and those glass jars full of colorful candies that kids love. Every morning starts with the delivery guys dropping off crates of milk and bread, which we have to stack up before the first customers arrive. The fridge in the corner has a bit of a rattle to it, but it keeps the drinks cold, so we leave it alone. We have a small stool behind the counter where one of us sits when the shop is quiet, usually reading the newspaper or just watching the people go by on Gill Road. It gets pretty busy around four in the afternoon when people are heading home and want to grab a quick snack for their kids. We keep the floor swept, though with all the foot traffic, it is hard to keep it perfectly clean. There is no air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that push the air around. It is a simple, honest shop where we know most of the people who walk through the door. We just focus on keeping the shelves stocked and making sure we don't run out of the popular items.
