Gandhi Crockery House

Gandhi Crockery House is located in Field Ganj on the 5th Main Road. We have been dealing in plates, bowls, and all kinds of kitchen items for many years now. It’s a delicate business, having to be careful every time you move a box so nothing breaks. The shop is filled with stacks of ceramic and glass, and sometimes it feels like a maze in here. Field Ganj is a very crowded area, and the 5th Main Road is usually packed with people and carts. We have to be really careful when unloading new stock from the trucks because the street is so narrow. People come to us when they are setting up a new kitchen or if they need a gift for a wedding. We don’t have a flashy storefront, just a lot of goods displayed so people can see the patterns and the quality for themselves. My father started this, and now we just keep it going. It’s a lot of dusting, honestly, because glass shows every bit of dirt. We sit on our stools near the front and wait for customers to come in and browse. Some people stay for a long time trying to decide on a set of cups, and we just let them take their time. We aren’t in a huge rush. It’s just a steady, quiet business amidst the chaos of the city. We enjoy the routine of it all.
