Gagan Mech Works

Our place, Gagan Mech Works, is situated at C 239 Chandigarh Road. Being on the main road makes it easy for trucks and cars to pull up, which is good for the type of mechanical work we do here. The shop is mostly a big open space where we can get the machines in without hitting the walls. It’s got that smell of oil and metal that you find in any workshop. We spend our time taking things apart and putting them back together. It’s often dirty work, but someone has to do it. Chandigarh Road is always moving, and we are right in the middle of that flow every single day. We started this place because we knew how to handle tools and wanted to work for ourselves. The building is simple, just concrete and steel with a bit of dust. We don’t have any fancy waiting area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the middle of a job with grease on our hands. We don't really have a script for when people call us up. We just tell them what we can do and how long it might take to finish. Sometimes the parts we need take a few days to arrive, which can be frustrating for everyone, but that’s the trade. We just keep our heads down and get the work done as it comes in from the road.
