G. R. D. Steels (India)

Our shop is tucked away at the back side of Guru Nanak Dev Market. It’s Shop No 1, so once you find the market on Gill Road, you just have to walk around to the back. It’s not immediately visible from the main street, which is actually kind of nice because it stays a little quieter. G. R. D. Steels (India) has been operating from this spot for a long time. We have a lot of stuff crammed into a small space, so it can feel a bit tight when we have a few people in here at once. Gill Road is always packed with traffic, so we are glad to be slightly off the main path. We don't have a big team or any fancy corporate titles. It’s just us doing the daily tasks. Sometimes we get a bit behind on the filing, but the actual work always gets done. The market has its own vibe, and we’ve gotten to know the other shop owners over the years. We usually start early in the morning before it gets too hot. By the time the afternoon comes around, we’re mostly just finishing up and getting ready for the next day. No one here wears a suit. We just wear whatever is comfortable for moving things around. It’s a practical way to run a business. If you stop by Guru Nanak Dev Market, just head to the back for G. R. D. Steels (India).
