Ellora Shawls Pvt. Ltd. is located out in Village Bazra, right along Rahon Road. Being in a village area means we have a bit more space than the shops in the middle of the city, which is good for storing the yarn and the finished shawls. The road outside can get quite dusty, especially when the tractors go by, but it is a nice enough place to work. Our building is a simple structure that focuses on the production side of things rather than looking pretty. We have the looms set up in a big open area where the light is good. Working with shawls is a bit different because it depends on the season; some months are incredibly hectic where we are working late every night, and others are a bit more relaxed. We have locals from the village working with us, and many of them have been here since they were young. There is a lot of talk and laughter while the work happens, which makes the long hours feel shorter. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for years and know we just do the work we say we will. It is a straightforward way of living and working. We focus on the weaving, make sure the patterns are correct, and then get everything ready for the winter market.
