Our place is located in Bhanohar, right on Ferozepur Road near where the Delhi-Katra Expressway is being built. It’s a very dusty area right now because of all the massive roadwork, but it’s where all the action is. You can see the big cranes and the earthmovers from our window. We chose this spot in Ludhiana because everything is changing so fast around here. Being close to the expressway project means we are right in the middle of the development. Deol Buildcon isn’t a fancy outfit. We have a basic office where we manage our equipment and talk to our workers. Most of our day is spent out on the road or at a site, checking on progress. It’s a lot of coordination. You have to make sure the concrete is arriving and the laborers have what they need. Some days the Punjab heat is brutal, and other days the rain stops everything, but we just keep pushing through. We don’t have any polished brochures or a mission statement on the wall. We just have our tools and our experience. People around Bhanohar know us as the guys who are always busy with something. We like the work, even when it’s stressful. It’s rewarding to see a building go up where there used to be an empty lot. That’s really all there is to it for us.
