Continental Sales

We are located in the Miller Ganj area in the Vishwakarma Market on Gill Road 2. This is a very tight market with narrow lanes and lots of shops packed together. We do sales of various parts and items that people in the trade need. The shop is full of shelves from floor to ceiling and sometimes you need a ladder just to see what’s at the top. It’s often quite dark inside because the buildings are so close together. We have a small counter where we talk to customers and write out bills by hand. The tea stall is right across the lane so we have a lot of cups sitting around most days. It is a very social way of doing business; we know all the other shopkeepers and we help each other out with change or parts if we run out. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking prices or seeing if a shipment has arrived at the transport office. The noise of the market is constant with rickshaws and carts pushing past. We have been in this spot for a long time and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We don't worry too much about how the place looks though. It’s more about having the right stock when someone comes in looking for something specific. It is just a regular shop in a busy part of the city where we work every day.
