Chauhan Sweets Shop

We set up Chauhan Sweets Shop on Chandigarh road, right by the Womens Arena and Lajpatrai Vidhyarthi Bhavan. It’s a lively area with plenty of students and people passing through for events. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a regular storefront with our name on it. Inside, it’s mostly just us working the counter and keeping an eye on the kitchen in the back. We make a variety of things, mostly the traditional stuff people expect. Because of the location, we get a lot of people in a hurry, so we try to have things packed and ready to go. The floor gets a bit scuffed from all the foot traffic, and sometimes the glass on the display cases gets fingerprinted by the kids looking at the snacks. We don’t spend much on fancy displays or marketing. We’d rather just focus on making sure the taste is consistent. Sometimes we have a bit of a line out the door during the holidays, and it gets a little loud in here, but that’s part of the job. We’ve been at this for a while now, and the routine of opening up and prepping the trays is just second nature. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but seeing the same faces every week makes it worth it. If you’re near the Vidhyarthi Bhavan, we’re right there on the main road, usually with something fresh out of the kitchen.
