Channi Steel Products is over on Nirankari Street Number 2, right in the middle of Miller Ganj. This part of town is always busy with people making things. We fit right in. Our workshop isn't the cleanest place you’ll ever see, but that’s because we’re actually making things here. There’s always the sound of cutting or welding going on. We started small and we’ve just stayed here, growing a bit over the years. We don't have a fancy lobby for visitors. Usually, people just walk into the shop area and find one of us. We’re usually covered in a bit of grease or dust. It’s just the nature of working with steel. We don't spend money on big ads or marketing people. We’d rather spend that on better tools for the shop. It’s a family-style environment here. Most of the guys have been with us for years. We don't talk in corporate jargon. If something is broken, we fix it. If an order comes in, we get it done. The street outside is narrow, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze for the delivery trucks. We make it work though. It’s a practical place for practical work. We don't make any big promises, we just do what we say we’re going to do. That’s how we’ve always run things here in Miller Ganj, and it works for us.
