Chanan Singh & Sons is a family-run spot located at 1430/10 Dholewal on L T Road. It started with the older generation and now we just keep the wheels turning. The shop is a bit of a landmark for those who know the Dholewal area well. We work with heavy machinery and parts, the kind of stuff that leaves your clothes stained by the end of the day. Our building is old, with high ceilings and big windows that let in some light, though they’re usually covered in a layer of grime. We don't have a big staff, just family and a few workers who have been with us so long they might as well be family. We spend a lot of time talking about how to fix things or how to make a piece of equipment work better. There is no corporate office here, just a small desk in the corner with a pile of receipts and a heavy rotary phone that still rings loud. We like to do things the way they’ve always been done because it works. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and sometimes the work is slow, but we make sure it’s done right. The traffic on L T Road is always moving, but inside the shop, we just focus on the task at hand. It’s a simple business built on hard work.
