Out here on Jarg Road in Khanna, things stay pretty busy with all the industrial work going on. Our place is right in the thick of it. We deal with steel and related items, so there is always a bit of grit and noise around the site. Khanna is known for this kind of work, and we’ve been part of the local scene for a while now. Most of our day involves looking at metal sheets or rods and making sure they get to where they need to go. It’s not a clean job, your hands are usually covered in some kind of industrial dust by lunchtime, but we don't mind it. The building itself is built for work, not for show, so it’s mostly just open space and heavy machinery. We see a lot of trucks coming and going since Jarg Road is a main path for transport. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit tough, like when it rains and the yard gets muddy, but we just keep moving. It’s a small group of us working here, and we all know our roles. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just focus on the load that needs to be moved or the order that came in this morning. We usually take our tea breaks together by the main gate. It’s a practical life, centered around the weight and the strength of the steel we handle every single day.
