Bansal Die Maker

Down in Shimlapuri, on Street No 13, you’ll find our workshop. Bansal Die Maker is a place where we get our hands dirty every single day. We are at number 4588, and it’s a typical local setup where the sound of metal hitting metal is pretty constant throughout the afternoon. We make dies and tools for all sorts of manufacturing work. It’s precision stuff, even if the workshop looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. There is oil on the floor and scraps of steel in the corners, but we know where everything is. We’ve been in Shimlapuri for years, and most of the neighbors know us by the sound of our machines. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a clean shirt. We spend hours hunched over lathes and milling machines, making sure the measurements are as close as we can get them. Sometimes a customer comes in with a broken part and we have to figure out how to replicate it from scratch. It’s like solving a puzzle. The street is narrow, so getting materials delivered can be a bit of a headache with the local traffic. We don't have a fancy office, just a small corner with a stool and a ledger where we keep track of the jobs. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. We just focus on making the dies right for whoever walks in.
