Arora Sweets has been sitting on Brown Road in Revdi Bazaar for quite a while now. Most mornings start around five when the first light is just hitting the shutters. We get the big pots going early because the heat takes time to build up. Revdi Bazaar is a loud place during the day, so we mostly just focus on what is in front of us. The floors are a bit worn from everyone coming in and out, but that is just how it goes with an old shop. We keep the glass cases wiped down and the sweets stacked up in rows. Some people come in for the same thing every single day without even saying much. We recognize the faces even if we do not always know the names. It gets pretty hot in the kitchen area during the summer months, but we are used to it by now. There is not much to say about us other than we are here every day except for certain holidays. We do not have any big signs or fancy lights, just the name over the door. Sometimes the traffic on Brown Road gets so backed up it is hard to hear anything else, but the shop stays busy enough. We just try to keep the trays full and the place decent for whoever walks through the door. It is a simple life running a shop like this, just doing the same work year after year.
